Presence in indices, rankings and ratings
The acknowledgements received and the inclusion of ACCIONA in some of the world's most reputable sustainability indices endorse our daily work and encourage us to pursue our purpose of designing a better planet.
ACCIONA has been integrated into the Euronext Vigeo index: Eurozone 120 as of June 2020. This index distinguishes companies achieving the most advanced Environmental, Social and Governance performances.
ACCIONA is the top Spanish company for non-financial information reporting, according to EcoAct’s latest Sustainability Performance of the IBEX ranking. At the same time, ACCIONA holds third place in the overall global ranking, which analyzes all companies listed in the most important global stock market indexes -DOW30 (US), FTSE100 (UK), CAC40 (France) and IBEX35 (Spain).
ACCIONA has qualified for the ISS ESG Corporate rating, with Prime category, for its social, environmental and governance performance, which exceeds the sector-specific criteria.
ACCIONA was rated AA (on a scale of AAA-CCC) in the MSCI ESG Ratings. This index measures the performance of companies based on environmental, social and governance factors.
ACCIONA is on the Climate Change A List, which is made up of the corporations with the best practices and results in reducing emissions, tackling climate change and aligning their activities with a low-carbon economy.
ACCIONA has been recognized as a Supplier Engagement Leader 2019, for its actions to reduce emissions and lower the risks related to climate change in its supply chain.
Other awards or recognitions for our work
Corporate Knights, a media group specializing in world-renowned sustainability rankings, has included ACCIONA, for the third year in a row, as one of the 100 most sustainable companies on the planet. The announcement of the 2020 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations index was made today at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
CDP, a leading player in benchmarking companies' non-financial disclosures, has given ACCIONA the CDP Europe Award 2019 for its work in the fight against global warming. The award recognises ACCIONA's effort to prevent global temperatures from rising by more than 1.5º and to mitigate the effects of climate change through the design and construction of sustainable, resilient infrastructure.
For yet another year, ACCIONA has revalidated its position as the “greenest” power utility in the world. It has held this position since 2015 in “New Energy Top 100 Green Utilities”, a ranking published annually by Energy Intelligence, an independent consultancy that specializes in energy markets.

ACCIONA received the award for Innovation in Compliance at the 2018 Expansión Compliance Awards for developing the first blockchain-based platform for enhancing the internal procedure for identification and validation of commercial consultants, providing traceability and security.
ACCIONA’s Toowoomba Second Range Crossing project in Queensland, Australia, has won the Silver Award for Best Transport Project at the inaugural edition of the Partnerships Bulletin PPP Awards in Sydney.
ACCIONA Agua has received the award that recognizes the company as the Water Company of the Year Award in 2017 (Global Water Intelligence). the most significant contribution to the development of the international water sector. Voters rated ACCIONA Agua's expansion in a number of international markets, such as Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Canada and the Middle East, through major water treatment contracts.
ACCIONA Energía Mexico has received two awards at the 24th CEMEX Works Awards for the construction of the Ventika and Ventika II wind farms, located in the town of General Bravo, Nuevo León: the Award for Development of Industrial Works and the Special Award for Innovation in Construction Processes and Techniques.
The latest report Merco Talento 2015, which sets the benchmark companies to work in Spain, placed ACCIONA in first place in the ranking of Infrastructure, Services and Construction sector. In the overall ranking, the company is positioned in 28th place among the 100 best companies to work for.
