HYDROELECTRIC ENERGY
Hydroelectric energy was part of our very first steps in the energy sector, which provided us with solid experience in this renewable technology, both in evaluating the resource and in the design, construction, operation and management of facilities.
We currently own 76 hydroelectric power plants located in various river basins throughout Spain, with a combined capacity of 873 MW (same as consolidated figure). This makes hydroelectric energy our second largest source of power generation, after wind power.

Renewable energies are clean, inexhaustible and competitive sources of energy. The development and adoption of clean energy is essential to limit the worst effects of the climate emergency and to build a sustainable energy system.
